Discover Play Time
Unlocking Curiosity
Our goal at Play Time is to prepare children for the next stage of their lives through the development of motor abilities, thinking skills and healthy interactions with their peers. We offer a nurturing stimulating environment, and lots of opportunities for play, interaction, and development, at a child's own pace and in their own space. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS 2023) curriculum and are registered with OFSTED.
Our Roots
How We Work
At Play Time, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming environment for all children. Our unique programs incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interest in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning. Our Educational Programs
The Best Nursery School
Zero to two year olds
We offer one to one ratio for 3-9 months old babies and a one to three ratio for all other babies. We aim to ensure they are feed, changed as often as is necessary whilst helping them develop their physical skills.
Two to five year olds
We encourage the children to follow our nursery routines with visual timetables throughout the day to provide the children with a sense of belonging and security.
We ensure that the children can access activities safely through vigorous risk assessments and that children of all abilities can engage with resources through staff knowledge of taking and evaluating risks.
We differentiate activities so that children of all competencies can access inspiring activities using exploration and critical thinking skills.
Planning in the moment means that the learning environments need to be reviewed and adapted to ensure that the children have a constant deep level of involvement in their activities. The resources in each area also need to be plentiful and engaging.
Five to eleven year olds clubs
Our Outdoor provides a breakfast club and after school club to four local schools. Your child will be taken to or collected from the school by a qualified nursery practitioner or educator who holds a Paediatric First Aid Certificate. All children wear a high visibility vest on if out and about from our setting.
School children who come to this setting have the opportunity to access lots of free choice activities including: playing musical instruments, TV, portable stereo, board games, creative activities including cooking, science experiments and other stimulating activities suitable for children of school age.
The children are provided with breakfast/light tea from the menu and all dietary requirements are catered for.
There is also the opportunity to complete homework, however we find that most children love the opportunity to relax after a hard day at school and often just love to play outdoors in our n garden where we have skipping ropes, hoops, ball games and team games.
During school holidays we operate a holiday club. We plan a range of fun trips in the local area, together with games and activities back at the nursery.
Spaces for the holidays are limited and early booking is strongly advised. Children who attend our Breakfast Club/After-school club are given priority weekly. If you have specific questions about day-to-day activities please get in touch.
Please get in touch with any questions. We’re always happy to help.
